BAFTA Win For Jungle Party
The BAFTA awards this year included a new category for childrens video games.
The winning game was 'Buzz! Junior: Jungle Party' for PS2 , devised and developed by Magenta software, an independant game development company in Liverpool.
Like the popular Buzz! quiz series, Jungle party is played using the 'Buzz!' controllers although it is certainly not a quiz.
Players choose a monkey and compete for bananas while playing through up to 40 fun-filled minigames.
The award was presented by Keith Chegwin to Dave Allsop and Paul Johnson , directors of Magenta software, and Ivan Davies, Senior Producer at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe.
Other nominees in the category were :
Lego starwars on DS,
Harry potter on Xbox ,
and Crash of the Titans on WII
