A local ornithological enthusiast stumbled across this leopard nest in Hesketh park last weekend.
The mother leopard must have been foraging for tourists in the park cafe as the nest was deserted enough for our reporter to take these exclusive pictures without being savaged.
Archibald E.Head, spokesperson for the SPLOT (Society for Protection of Leopard Ovoids Today) gave this advice: "keep away from leopard eggs, the mother can be very possessive and it is a criminal offence to move the eggs".
The council are hoping this find will bring more tourism to the area, especially given the rate at which they will be devoured once the eggs hatch.
