The Cat in the Hat film and game released
The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss was first published in 1957.
In the new film adaptation, Mike Myers takes the title role of the cat in the red and white stripey hat,who arrives one day to cheer up some kids (Conrad and Sally).
The nasty neighbour tricks Conrad into opening the lock on the Cats box of magic,the magic escapes and the world gets wackier.
The film is released on the 2nd April 2004.

The Cat In The hat game, released on 19th March 2004 for the PS2, Xbox,PC and GBA follows the same plot,with the player controlling the cat whos job it is to collect all the escaped magic.
The cat can suck creatures and purple goo into his magic umbrella then fire them back out and has to use rockets, big bubbles and teleporters to help him progress through the games 20 levels. Conrad, Sally and a talking fish help guide the player throughout the game.
The game is rated 3 plus so is not going to be much of a challenge for the older gamer but younger children will
love the highly coloured graphics, jolly music and and the funny creatures featured.
